Creator Guidelines
Your roadmap to success on CG Lounge
Welcome to the CG Lounge creator community! These guidelines help ensure every product on our marketplace meets the quality standards our customers expect. Follow these, and you'll be set up for success.
Quality Standards
01 Production-Ready Assets
- Clean topology with proper edge flow
- Optimized polygon count appropriate for intended use
- Properly named objects, materials, and textures
- Real-world scale (meters preferred)
02 Textures & Materials
- PBR workflow (Metallic/Roughness or Specular/Glossiness)
- Minimum 2K resolution for primary textures
- Proper UV mapping with no overlaps (unless intentional)
- Seamless textures for tileable materials
03 File Organization
- Clear folder structure (Textures, Models, Previews, etc.)
- Include README with software version and usage notes
- Multiple format exports when applicable (FBX, OBJ, native)
Preview Images
Great preview images = more sales. Here's what we require:
Required
- • Main thumbnail: 1920x1080 minimum
- • At least 3 preview images
- • Show asset from multiple angles
- • Include wireframe view
Recommended
- • Turntable video/GIF
- • In-context renders
- • Close-up detail shots
- • UV layout preview
Product Descriptions
Your description should include:
- What's included: List all files, formats, and textures
- Technical specs: Poly count, texture resolutions, scale
- Software compatibility: Tested software versions
- Usage rights: Commercial use, restrictions if any
What We Don't Accept
- Content you don't own or have rights to sell
- Ripped or pirated assets from games/movies
- AI-generated content without disclosure
- Low-quality or incomplete assets
- NSFW or offensive content
- Duplicate submissions of existing products
Violation of these rules may result in account suspension
Course Guidelines
For video course creators:
- Video quality: 1080p minimum, 4K preferred
- Audio: Clear voice, minimal background noise
- Structure: Logical lesson progression with clear objectives
- Project files: Include working files for each lesson
- Length: Minimum 1 hour total content
